- Land-Grant Training Alliance - Online Lessons - This useful site not only hosts tutorials on Microsoft word, PowerPoint, Excel, WordPerfect and Quattro Pro (covering various versions of each program), there are also links to tutorials on “Teaching through the Web”, “Web Sites Accessibility” and “E-mail beyond the basics”. The “Web Sites Accessibility” tutorial is concerned with compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), but still worth a look if only for the useful web links.

What is a learning object? "any digital resource that can be reused to support learning." This definition includes anything that can be delivered across the network on demand, be it large or small. Examples of smaller reusable digital resources include digital images or photos, live data feeds (like stock tickers), live or prerecorded video or audio snippets, small bits of text, animations, and smaller web-delivered applications, like a Java calculator.
