  • National Gallery of Art, Washington - A very comprehensive gallery web site with an excellent search engine. You can search the gallery by artist, title, subject, style, creation date, and a short list of popular subjects. If you are looking for information about a particular artist this would be a good place to start. Portraits, landscape, watercolours, modern art, exhibitions, on-line tours are all here.
